I’m leaving for Oahu in three hours. Suffice to say, I should have a lot to write about upon my return.

Farecast is a tool that tracks airline ticket prices, tells travelers whether ticket prices are expected to rise or fall and offers tips on buying strategies. I happen to have 25 invites to participate in a private beta testing. If you desire one let me know through a comment or email and I will do my best to hook you up.

These are a few of my favorite movies:

Donnie Darko

Garden State

Boondock Saints

Resevoir Dogs

Rebel Without A Cause

City of God

Pulp Fiction

Fight Club

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Requiem for a Dream

Full Metal Jacket

Oldboy

The Graduate

Abre Los Ojos

Big Fish

Edward Scissorhands

The Big Lebowski

Magnolia

Roman Holiday

Amelie

The Godfather

Chinatown

Forrest Gump

Breakfast At Tiffany's

Fast Times At Ridgemont High

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Risky Business

Being John Malkovich

Dangerous Liasons

This post in no way proves my superior taste in cinema (although a strong case could be made). If you have some down time this summer and you have yet to experience any of the above, your Blockbuster runs just got a whole lot easier.

My beloved brother Sean did some research on the tragedy that is currently engrossing southern Oregon. He found this. I'm not going to try and give it any meaning. In fact, I'm not even sure that I can describe the feeling I get when I look at those words.

She Really Was Telling The Truth June 11, 2006

A certain ex-girlfriend of mine used to tell me two things. The first was that I was the most talented kisser she ever had the pleasure of kissing (flattery was her strong suit). The second was that Guster is one of te best indie/college bands currently making music. Prior to yesterday afternoon, I had no particular reason to investigate the validity of her claims. That was until I stumbled upon an exclusive pre-release copy of the new album Ganging Up On The Sun. This release furthers the melodic folk-pop genre and compares favorably with those of the Shins. For me, the album marks a perfect beginning to summer, full of vulnerability and humor. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up when it is released on the 20th.

It all starts innocently enough as you pass by the akward section in Barnes and Noble. Before you know it, you are going on three day binges that teeter on the brink of insanity. My friends, I have fallen prey to that narcotic of genres: the self-help title. I am averaging just over four "delights" (as they are called in dedicated circles) a week and my appetite shows no signs of relenting. I refuse casual sex in the hope that I can discover inner peace inked in a manual. I eat with only one hand so I can grasp the "secrets" of success in the other. I think it may be time for an intervention.

While the choice is ultimately in the hands of one man, or legend rather, in my estimate, a blogosphere without Donnie Jeter is inconceivable. It's like Osama bin Laden just got up one day and walked out on the Taliban! My question is what now will become of our blogging jihad? The fate of the SOB is in the hands of Allah now.
