I don’t want to speak too soon, but it looks as if I might be getting a job with Apple Computers in the near future. It’s a part time gig, but considering the $15 per hour stipend and all the schwag, I am quite excited.

of what shall prove to be a make-or-break year. Organic and analytical chemistry will rule my days and programming, my nights. When a spare moment presents itself, I will play guitar to maintain this insanity.

Evan Burchfield makes a convincing argument. For the record, I could not help but to agree with his sentiment, and yet I still enjoyed my experience at the theatre that day.

If you know anything about corporation, you will find this development especially chilling. Wal Mart already costs the US taxpayer billions of dollars in the form of government health subsidies and other low-income assistance. If you would like all of Wal Mart’s social irresponsibility broken down and dispensed in a not-so-easy to swallow fashion, this site will suit your needs. I have made a decision to support socially responsible companies like Costco because with others, (namely Wal Mart) there is a high cost for low price.

******* Show Cancelled *******

In the event that you are hopelessly unacquainted with the Portland indie-music scene, all you need to know is that two talented lads (one of whom sits in with the Decembrists) will be playing an exclusive set at my house on Monday night. There will be a $5 cover, a merch booth and artist discussion to follow.

Summer Life September 11, 2006

When I think of summer, the word spontaneous comes to mind. Although my travels (Mexico, Oahu, Sunriver and Colorado) edged out many of my dog days, this summer has been especially fulfilling, hence my recent blogosphere absence. I gave away nearly 70 hours at Britt and came away with a lot more than another line on my resume. I started a small-scale but highly profitable business endeavor and renewed my dormant entrepeneurial spirit. I decided to no longer defile my body with substances that weaken it. I exercised and got in the best shape of my life. I read books on culture, consciousness, metaphysics and the element of seduction in art. I took in three productions at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and found them pleasurable. I got drunk for the first time with Noah and Chelsea and went streaking in Ashland. I helped a friend take his mind off of a harsh reality. I gave special consideration to every tryst that came my way but decided that spending time with my grandpa is far more important. I wrote poetry and chord progressions. I made friends with two Portland musicians known as the Graves after enjoying their talent in a friend’s back yard. I bought a Macbook Pro and a pair of Paper Denim & Cloth jeans. I asked for forgiveness and found it already there.
